The Viglow 2009 Scholarship contest has officially begun! There will be one $2,000 award going to the student that best satisfies the competition guidelines published here.

Keep in mind that the general theme for our program is to get students to realize that education is an investment. We don’t care what you study or why, but what is critical is that you provide us with enough confidence that our investment in you will yield a healthy return.

The return we expect is that you lead a happy, healthy, productive life in which your contribution ultimately leaves society better off.

What path you take in life is your own business. There are an infinite number of ways you can make this a better world, whether it’s serving the sick as a doctor or creating productive employment for workers as a business owner. The bottom line is that you must convince us that you have an idea of what you want to do, and that you are serious and capable of following through should we part with our hard earned savings on your behalf.

Take the time to read the instructions and consider your application in detail. This program is more than the regular “cookie-cutter” scholarship. We are not giving away other peoples’ money, but our own, so we take this very seriously.

Feel free to contact us at any time with questions or comments. Good luck!
